The Pontiac gets up on our hoist
We put the rebuilt carburetor back on and set the timing on the small block and it fired right up and ran beautifully — It’s now up on the hoist in the second shed.
The underside is covered in grime from years of neglect. Both the brake and suspension components are perished with no signs of being replaced within the last 50 years.
We removed all the control arms, trailing arms, brakes and wheel bearings then dropped the differential to remove the axles and replace the bearings on those as well.
There are also numerous oil leaks from the engine sump, rear main seal, auto pan and the differential. We will de-grease the entire underside and address those down the track.
